Federal Disaster Declaration for Cook County

This month, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that it is providing disaster aid in the form of individual assistance for Cook County Illinois to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding during the period of September 13th of this year. Cook County residents and business owners who sustained losses can begin applying for individual assistance immediately by either registering online at www.fema.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362. The telephone number will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice.
