From the Lyons Township Assessor's Office...

"If you have filed a 2015 appeal with the Board of Review the decisions have not been made. We are thinking the decision letters will be mailed by the end of January.
The 2015 Senior/Freeze exemption renewal applications have been mailed out by the Cook County Assessor's office. If you were born in 1950 you will have to apply for your senior exemption. Please bring your Driver's License or State ID along with a copy of your tax bill and your 2014 federal income tax. Please make sure you file for this exemption as soon as possible.
The 2015 first installment tax bill will be mailed out the end of January with a early March due date. The 1st installment tax bill will be 55% of the prior year taxes.
We would like to thank each and everyone of you who contributed to the "Toys for Tots" drive. This year we were able to collect four times the amount that we collected last year! This would not have been possible with out your help!"
